Eagle House Overview

Eagle House in Northwood is a children's home that has been providing high quality therapeutic care to young people since 1990. The child care at Eagle House is overseen and directed by the highly experienced and qualified social worker, Mrs Gulzar Eagle, whose vision established this very special home, and whose commitment has assured its subsequent development. The Northwood children's home is managed by an experienced and well qualified team, led by the Registered Care Manager.

What makes us Unique
Eagle House nurtures young people who have experienced multiple breakdowns within the family and the public care sector. To help them resolve their traumas and face the future with confidence, we espouse the caring philosophies of Bruno Bettelheim by creating a therapeutic milieu and Fritz Rekl by using the life space interview.

Consequently, we take the view that opportunities for counselling and therapy and may arise at any time, where we can help the young person feel better about her or himself. This work is underpinned by regular meetings between young people and their keyworkers to discuss the progression of the care plan and overall emotional wellbeing.

Eagle House children's home in Northwood is a large family house situated within a convivial, closely-knit community. We are five minutes' walk from Northwood Tube Station, two minutes from several regular bus services and within easy reach of a comprehensive range of leisure facilities - giving our residents plenty of stimulation and outside interests.
