Introducing the Eagle House Partnership...

In 1990, Mrs Gulzar Eagle, a qualified and highly experienced social worker, began to put into place her vision of a comprehensive child care service tailored to the individual needs of young people in care and care leavers.

For many years, she had felt that there was a serious shortage of needs-led resources caring for these vulnerable young people - and with the launch of the Eagle House Children's home in Northwood, she was able to begin meeting these needs in the way she had envisaged.

A decade and a half on, Eagle House Children's home continues to thrive, the addition of the First Move Project in 1992 and The Crescent in 2004 provide complementary and comprehensive support to young people leaving care and moving towards independant living in individual accommodation and a registered intensive home.
